Spread over 60 acres of natural landscapes incorporating serene paddy fields and exotic plantations, the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi is Chiang Mai’s only luxury resort where you can enjoy one of the world’s most beautiful spas and surround yourself with the rich heritage of the Lanna Kingdom.
The design of the hotel’s suites, villas, and residences is a visual journey through the history of the Lanna region, from the glory of northern Thailand to the influences of neighboring Myanmar, China, and Laos and the introduction of colonial architecture. All of the spacious suites and villas have separate sitting areas and generously proportioned bathrooms, and some villas feature private outdoor plunge pools or swimming pools.
The atmosphere of culture and calm is the ideal setting for the resort’s new wellness retreat programs. The resort offers a series of six new and innovative monthly Wellness Retreats that have been designed to offer guests the chance to relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect in the resort’s luxurious and peaceful surroundings. The seven-day retreats have been created for those who wish to get to know themselves a little better, establishing a spiritual connection or just wanting to learn how to lead a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Visiting masters and experts in the fields of health and wellness will guide you towards inner contemplation, allowing a peaceful journey through a time of reflection and renewal.
The world-class Dheva Spa and Wellness Centre is a palatial, 3,100 square meter sanctuary embellished with ornate moldings and sculptures depicting sacred animals or symbolic Buddhist motifs, loyally recreated by 150 Chiang Mai artisans from the original Burmese template in Mandalay, Myanmar. The spa’s holistic approach encompasses spirit, mind, and body and takes into account the whole of one’s life, career, family, social activities, environment, nutrition, exercise, mental frame, spiritual life, and astrology.
