Portaventura Theme Park

This theme park is located in Portaventura, Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. It was about an hour from Barcelona and only ten minutes from Reus airport in Tarragona. PortAventura built by Tussaud Groups (AltonTowers), An heuser-Busch (Busch Entertainment Corporation), and Universal Studios is the largest resort in southern Europe.

There are five areas in the theme park which lay in an area of 825 hectares. The main area, the Mediterranean, has two rides; Boat Ride and the roller-coaster Furius Baco. In the month of July-August, the lake in this area transformed into Fiestaventura location, a fireworks display and the floating vehicle representing four of the world in PortAventura.

The second area, Far West, with buildings and statues of the Old Wild West Town as the name implies. There are nine vehicles here, including water games that allow visitors to spray each other with other visitors who are here, the Silver River and the Grand Canyon Piume Fluids. Interestingly, in this area are Stampida roller coaster, the wooden roller coaster and run parallel with the small version, Tomahawk.

Want to try the eight-loop roller coaster?. You can just go to areas of China, precisely in the Dragon Khan ride. You will experience travel at the speed of 60 km/h through eight loop winding. Last area, Polynesian, with a junior roller coaster for children, Tami-Tami and Kontiki Pirate Ship. You can also watch movies and dynamic adventure into the sea in Odyssey, or try to feel the volcanic eruption on a rubber boat in Tutuki Splash.

If your visit coincides with the celebration of Christmas and Halloween, then you can watch the special parade of Psycho Circus, Horror in Penitence, La Mina del Diablo and La Selva del Miedo with the widest aisle in Europe.

The ride is excellent on Furius Baco PortAventura, the new roller coaster in operation in 2007. With a maximum speed of 135 km/h, Furius Baco become the fastest roller coaster in Europe. Do not miss the ride also Hurakan Condor, a vertical drop tower ride coaster in the area of Mexico that is operated by an elevator cable. You will be taken up by cable car, then after a pause a few minutes on the ready to be thrown from a height of 330 feet, making it one of the world’s highest vehicle.
